SMALL BASES (WITH ROUND RECESSES) are intended for: grenade launcher section, anti-tank rifle section, mortar platoon, HMG platoon, platoon or company command, artillery observer.

SMALL CAVALRY BASES are intended for cavalry section and cavalry platoon and squadron command.

LARGE BASE are intended for: infantry squads, artillery platoons.
